In the world of aftermarket car head units and dedicated Personal Navigation Devices (PNDs), few names carry as much weight as iGO Primo . For over a decade, this software has been the gold standard for offline navigation, particularly on legacy Windows Embedded Compact (WinCE) operating systems. However, the stock interface can feel dated.
On your WinCE device, the navigation software is usually on an SD card labeled iGO , Primo , or MobileNavigator .
Copy the downloaded skin .zip file into the ux folder on your SD card. Ensure you have only one major skin active at a time to avoid conflicts.
Inside the main directory, look for a folder named ux . This holds all the plugins and skins. If it doesn’t exist, create it.
Search for skin_igo_primo_2.4_wince_800x480.zip . Inside, you will find files ending in .zip or .uxt . Do not unzip the skin files themselves. iGO reads compressed zip files as skins.
