Set in 1984 (two years before Tommy’s arrival), the story follows Vic’s descent from honorable soldier to reluctant crime lord. The narrative is widely considered one of Rockstar’s most underrated, offering a tragic, gritty contrast to Tommy’s flamboyant rise. The PSP version, while technically impressive, suffered from draw distance fog, muddy textures, and awkward controls (using a single analog nub).
