American Psycho is dense. For a viewer whose first language is Hindi, trying to catch the rapid-fire satirical dialogue about Oliver Stone or Donald Trump slows down the viewing experience. A Hindi track allows the viewer to focus on Mary Harron's visual framing and Christian Bale's physical performance without pausing to read subtitles.
